Pat & Roger Riordan 10.03.2000
After wedding at Trinity College Chapel |

My name is Roger Riordan. I was born in Melbourne, and during the war years I lived at Mt Dandenong.
I graduated from Melbourne University in Electrical Engineering in 1954. I first met a computer at CSIRO in 1967, and have been hooked
ever since. I have also been interested in botany and photography for most of my life.
I wrote the first version of the Vet Anti-Viral software in 1989, and when we sold it in 1999 we used part of the proceeds to set up the
Cybec Foundation. This has since supported a wide range of educational, humanitarian and cultural activities.

This web page is effectively my scrapbook. It contains:
My photo album, with a selection of our holiday snaps and my photos of native plants
Information about my career and my family background
Technical notes on various subjects
Articles on some of my hobbyhorses.
Native orchids are one of my interests, and I have used the generic name of the diminutive helmet orchids as the name for this web page.
