Pat & Roger Riordan 10.03.2000After wedding at Trinity College Chapel |
My name is Roger Riordan. I was born in Melbourne, and during the war years I lived at Mt Dandenong.
I graduated from Melbourne University in Electrical Engineering in 1954. I first met a computer at CSIRO in 1967, and have been hooked
ever since. I have also been interested in botany and photography for most of my life.
I wrote the first version of the Vet Anti-Viral software in 1989, and sold it to Computer Associates in 1999.
We used part of the proceeds to set up the Cybec Foundation, and this has since supported a wide range of educational, humanitarian and cultural activities.
For more information see: The Cybec Foundation
This web page is effectively my scrapbook. It contains:
My photo album, with a selection of our holiday snaps and my photos of native plants
Information about my career and my family background
Technical notes on various subjects
Articles on some of my hobbyhorses.
